In this case the stem was broken within the movement of the watch due to excessive external force therefore a full service was required.
Do Rado watches need servicing?
Rado automatic watches generally require servicing at 4-6 year intervals as the oils and lubricants within the watch movement deteriorate and do not allow smooth functioning of the watch. This is the recommended servicing interval by Rado.
Signs that your automatic Rado watch is in need of a service:
1) It keeps stopping intermittently or has completely stopped
2) The watch is running slower of faster than the expected
3) It is being actively worn, but the power reserve does not last the appropriate time
4) Stiff crown when trying to manually
