  1. Omega Seamaster Watch Crown Replacement

Omega Seamaster watches are built to withstand the test of time, however with any timepiece regular maintenance is necessary to prevent wear and tear.

Being an authorised Omega Service centre we often find if a watch has not been regulary serviced, a problem can manifest with the screw down mechanism of the crown.

Some of the problems which can occur:

    1. The crown screws in but does not stay in place and springs back out
    2. The crown does not screw in fully
    3. The metal cover bearing the Omega logo has come off

Should you notice such a issue with the crown of your Omega Seamaster watch, it is very important to address it as soon as possible. If the crown is not screwing in properly, it is verly likely that an imperfect seal is being formed. The watch should not be worn until this is rectified. This can lead to:

    1. Dust and other particles entering into the mechanism
    2. Water penetration - leading to extensive damage to the movement

How much does the Omega Seamaster Crown Replacement Cost?

We would have to assess the watch and determine exactly what has become defective to provide an estimate for the crown replacement based on the model. Book an instore appointment today to have your watch assessed

  2. Omega Constellation Battery Replacement and Pressure Test - The Process

As a Level 3 Omega Approved Service centre we are able carry out battery replacements on all Omega Constellation Ladies and Men's Watches in our Swiss standard workshop. You can usually tell that your Omega watch is in need of a battery replacement when it stops, or the second hand starts jumping in intervals displaying the end-of-life indicator (EOL). It is important to have the battery replacement promptly after indicative signs to avoid leakage and damage to the movement.

    The Process

    1. The caseback is opened

The caseback is opened using the correct tools to avoid scratching and causing any damage to the caseback.

    2. Battery power is checked

The battery power is checked on a specialist device to ensure the cause of the malfunction is the battery. If this check shows the battery is full power, this may suggest other problems with the mechanism of the watch.

  3. Omega Planet Ocean Co-Axial Bracelet Adjustment

Omega watches are fitted with a variety of precisely engineered metal bracelets which require specialist tools and knowledge to adjust.

At Babla's we are an authorised Omega service centre trained to professionally adjust any omega watch bracelet on site in our London based workshop. We have the correct tools to ensure that the Omega bracelet adjustment is carried out without residual cosmetic defects on the bracelet.

Using incorrect tools can lead to expensive damage and running the risk of the bracelet coming apart, and potentially further damage to the watch itself. Light scratches can be removed from the Omega polishing service we offer.

Should you be looking to replace your Omega metal bracelet with a rubber or leather strap please see our Omega watch straps selection.

Common models we can offer a bracelet adjustment service for but not limited to are: Omega Seamaster, Omega Aqua Terra, Omega Constellation, Omega Speedmaster, Omega Planet Ocean.

  4. Omega Seamaster battery replacement and pressure test

Omega Seamaster quartz watches are fitted with an end of life indicator which indicate that the battery is coming to the end of it’s life; this is usually indicated by the second hand jumping in intervals which can be seen in this blog post. The average battery life of an original replacement is approximately 24 months, provided the other components of the movement are in good working order.

  5. Omega Battery Operated Watches (Quartz) - End of Life Indicator (EOL)

Many Omega battery operated watches have an intelligent feature which indicates that a battery replacement is due. The second hand jumps in 4 second intervals to indicate that the battery is nearing the end of its life before the watch completely ceases to function. During this period the watch usually provides accurate time. The below video shows the End of Life function (EOL) activating on an Omega Seamaster showing the hand skipping in 4 second intervals:

We are a certified Omega service centre and are able to undertake any battery replacement on an Omega watch and pressure test in store or by our postal service. Please see our Omega watch repairs page for more information.
