As a Level 3 Omega Approved Service centre we are able carry out battery replacements on all Omega Constellation Ladies and Men's Watches in our Swiss standard workshop. You can usually tell that your Omega watch is in need of a battery replacement when it stops, or the second hand starts jumping in intervals displaying the end-of-life indicator (EOL). It is important to have the battery replacement promptly after indicative signs to avoid leakage and damage to the movement.
The Process
1. The caseback is opened
The caseback is opened using the correct tools to avoid scratching and causing any damage to the caseback.
2. Battery power is checked
The battery power is checked on a specialist device to ensure the cause of the malfunction is the battery. If this check shows the battery is full power, this may suggest other problems with the mechanism of the watch.
3. Electronic testing is carried out of the movement
Various electrical tests are carried out on the movement of the watch using a specialist device. If any of the tests show values above the published thresholds then this would warrant further investigation as it may cause premature draiining of the battery or cause the watch to stop.
4. The battery is replaced
The contacts are cleaned and an original battery replacement is carried out.
5. Seals and Gasket and replacement
The back gasket is replaced with an original Omega gasket to ensure water resistance is maintained after battery replacement.
6. Ultrasonic cleaning of the case and bracelet
The case and bracelet are ultrasonically cleaned to remove any surface debris in a ultrasonic tank.
7. Water resistant test
The water resistance test is carried out using a specialist machine. This is called a "Pressure Test" as the machine applies pressure to the casing the watch and determines whether there is any expansion/contraction of the case i.e. suggesting a leakage.
How much does it cost?

How long will an Original battery replacement last?
