The Process
Cleaning of the Movement
Over time, the lubricating oils in your watch can deteriorate, impacting its performance. An ultrasonic machine cleaning process is used to remove old oils and other accumulated debris.
Replacement of Worn Components
Under high magnification, each individual part is carefully examined for signs of wear. Any worn components that could compromise your watch's function are replaced with authentic Cartier parts.
Battery Replacement
If your Cartier watch operates with a battery-powered movement, a new battery is installed as part of the complete service process.
Reassembly and Lubrication of the Movement
The lubrication process is meticulously carried out under a high-magnification microscope, ensuring that each jewel(where the wheels rotate) receives the precise lubrication needed for smooth, long-term performance.
Adjustment of the Movement and Control of Its Parameters
Using specialised equipment that graphically displays your watch's performance, we regulate it to meet stringent Cartier quality standards.
Cleaning and Refurbishment of the Case and Bracelet
Your watch case and bracelet (steel and precious metals) can be restored to a showroom finish, removing most surface scratches and imperfections, as part of the complete service (by request).
Reassembly of the Case With Water Resistance Testing
Your watch case is meticulously reassembled, and all necessary seals and gaskets are replaced to restore its water resistance to the required Cartier specifications.
Complete Quality Control
To guarantee optimal performance, your Cartier timepiece is subjected to several tests, including assessments of timekeeping accuracy and power reserve (for mechanical models).
